Purchasing Group turn to Nisbets for Catering Equipment Needs
12:23 pm
Anglia Farmers (AF)
was established as the result of the merger of Loddon Farmers and Mid Norfolk
Farmers back in 2003. Now with 3,500 full members nationwide and representing
over 11,000 farmers, AF provides an
important support mechanism buying everything from agricultural machinery,
energy supplies, mobile phones and animal feeds for a range of outlets from
farms, golf clubs, leisure attractions and even pubs.
With the promise of just one
monthly invoice, no matter the raft of purchases made, members can access many
benefits including improved prices, benchmarking services, market information
and a support network that takes many of the day to day tasks away from busy
desks and farms.
In order to be able to cater for
the wide selection of member’s needs, AF relies on the dedication and support
of a wide range of suppliers. For catering equipment, there was only one go to
supplier to bring on board as general supplies manager Sally Payne explained:
“We started
working with Nisbets about 5 years ago and since then we have been treated to
prompt reliable service, excellent quotations, a fast response time and nextday delivery to all our members no matter where they are in the UK. We are
pleased to say that many members will flick through the Nisbets catalogue or
browse the website before calling us up to place the order. As an organisation
that relies on a contented membership we are extremely appreciative of the time
and effort that Nisbets put into support us and our membership."
There is probably no better recommendation on the catering
equipment than the fact that it is the brand of choice in AF’s own staff
canteen. As Alison Melville, catering manager at AF explains, the Nisbets
catalogue is the first point of call whenever she requires new equipment,
whether heavy or light:

In addition to the
in-house canteen, Alison is also responsible for the wide range of events and
County shows that AF attends. Serving over 1300 members and customers every day
at the Royal Norfolk Show, Alison is reliant on a range of Nisbets equipment
from Olympia crockery with which to serve the food on, through to Waring Paninimakers:
“Olympia
crockery, whether plates, mugs or saucers have a great weight, stack nicely,
doesn’t chip and is always at a great price. Furthermore it is available in a
wide range of sizes and formats, making it the first choice for AF both in the
canteen and when at events and shows. We also use Olympia cutlery due to its
good price and stylish design.”
The other item of preference for Alison is the Waring Panini
maker.

Over 90% of Anglia Farmers in-house staff interacts with the
canteen every day.
