In our first ‘Ideal Skillset’ post we are looking at what it means and what it takes to be a Chef.

Role & Responsibilities
Your role will reach far and wide throughout the entire establishment and you can often be expected to do some of the following; create menus, manage employees, food prep and cooking, order supplies, conduct training and keep records.

Abilities
You need to be able to communicate at all levels, be able to lead a team, be approachable, flexible, creative and confident and you also will need some health & safety/food safety knowledge. You will be able to work under pressure, have a real passion for food and be able to motivate others.
